Voel Coaches is well-established family-owned operator in North Wales offering executive and local coach travel to the community. We are seeking to appoint an experienced coach drivers for a range of duties from local groups to European tours.

Duties will include;

• Conduct routine daily checks on assigned vehicle using our driver app reporting system and report any defects to our maintenance team.
• Maintain detail records of your work duties as required by the Department of Transport.
• Build good relationships with all groups to promote Voel Coaches travel.
• Consider the safety and comfort of passengers.
• Take pride in the cleanliness and presentation of vehicles assigned to you.
• Work with our tours team to support the development of exceptional itineraries.

The successful candidate will have;

Essential:

• Friendly and professional attitude with good communication skills.
• Hold a full UK driving licence with PSV entitlement.
• An excellent driving record regarding points and accidents (references would be used).
• A valid CPC for coach driving plus valid Tacho card.
• General local geographic knowledge with ambition to visit new destinations.
• Good knowledge of legislation relating to coach driving as set out in the EU driving regulations.
• Ability to pass a DBS background check to work if required by the company.

Desirable:

• Coach driving experience in tour coaches or a variety of PSV vehicles.
• Continental driving experience with an understanding of port authority procedures.
• Other experiences in the tourism and leisure industry, with school groups or customer services.

Typical schedule:

Working 5/6 days a week based on business requirements and legal rest periods. Examples of duties might include;

• Monday-Friday 5 day UK Tours with a rest day on tour.
• Friday-Sunday 3 day UK tours and city breaks.
• Day trips 7am-7pm daily including weekends.
• Private hire bookings daily including weekends.
• Monday-Friday (7am-9am and 2.30pm-6pm) School contracts in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Conwy.
