Our tech services provide mechanical sampling design and commissioning for all bulk particulate materials. Job Description Kickstart your lab career in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. As a Coal Technician, you’ll gain practical experience ensuring the accurate and timely collection, preparation, and analysis of CHPP and Train samples to meet site, Australian, and international standards. If you’re motivated, reliable, and eager to learn, this is your chance to grow with a team that values safety, development, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Ensure high-quality and accurate completion of all tasks. Follow correct procedures for sampling, recording, preparation, and analysis. Collaborate with the team to provide efficient, reliable service to clients. Maintain accuracy, precision, and traceability of prepared samples. Adhere to safe practices and report or cease use of any equipment that may compromise results. Be available for shift work (7/7 D/N rotating roster). Perform other duties as directed by the reporting manager. Qualifications To be successful in this role you will have an understanding of: Experience or knowledge in coal sampling, preparation, and testing is preferred but not essential. Strong computer skills, especially in Excel (experience with CCLAS is a bonus). Proven ability to work effectively as part of a flexible team.
