• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone. • Work Environment : This position works in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Occasional travel may be required. This position will also require assisting in the review of laboratory testing in a typical laboratory environment as well as potential visits to suppliers, external partners, and Trane Technologies manufacturing locations. Safety shoes and safety glasses (provided by company) are required to be worn at all times in the laboratory or any manufacturing areas. • Identify, screen, and support new technologies and capabilities for coatings and adhesives across all Trane Technologies business units.
• Establish and manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, industry experts, labs, and universities to leverage expertise and meet project deliverables.
• Support technology roadmaps and strategies to develop advanced technologies and capabilities ahead of program needs.
• Deploy newly developed technologies and capabilities into new product development programs.
• Manage and execute deliverables for new product development, quality/reliability projects, and cost improvement programs involving coatings and adhesives.
• Interact with internal business units and global supply chain teams to contribute to new product development and support quality, reliability, and cost reduction projects.
• Use appropriate analytical and test methods to select manufacturing materials and processes, create test plans, and ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Travel up to 15%, including international travel, as required.
