Job Title: Cocktail Lounge Manager
Department: Lounge
Reports to: Director of Hospitality
Designation: Part Time or Full Time; Non-Exempt

COCKTAIL LOUNGE MANAGER JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Radical Hospitality

  • Accountable for the Mother Road guest experience while on shift
  • Sets the pace of service by managing Crew
  • Rotates Crew for breaks
  • Assigns side work and checks Crew out at the end of shift
  • Determines shift length and “cuts” Crew commensurate with sales volume
  • Ensures that the expectations outlined in Mother Road’s employee handbook, policies, hospitality SOEs and policies, and job descriptions are met during shift
  • Executes Situation Escalation Policy
  • Executes the Field Quality Reporting procedure
  • Executes all Safety reporting procedures, including employee, guest and near miss
  • Monitors Tap Room speech and interactions for harassment and sexual violence
  • Uses ASBA Safer Bars training to curtail and de-escalate situations of harassment and sexual violence as an active bystander per Hospitality On 66 Employee and Guest Safety Protocol
  • Denies access to intoxicated persons, safely removing intoxicated guests

Corporate Services

  • Reconciles the drawer, cash drop, tips, and change bag at the end of shift
  • Ensures pertinent information is communicated via Basecamp
  • All other tasks as assigned by the Director of Hospitality

Operations

  • Performs pre-shift walk-through and ensures the Tap Room is kept clean and in good repair
  • Fixes or places work orders for equipment or facilities in need of maintenance during shift
  • Troubleshoots draft systems to ensure they are working properly
  • Beverage inventory management
  • Completes end of month inventories
  • Manages beverage inventory and ordering
  • Manages cocktail ingredient inventory and ordering

People & Culture

  • Coaches and provides feedback to Hosts on shift
  • Performs pre-shift training with new hires
  • Performs daily stand up
  • Writes the schedule for a rolling three week period

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of cocktail experience (including cocktail creation), 1+ year of supervisor experience
  • Arizona Title 4 Basic Certification
  • Coconino County Food Handler’s
  • ASBA Safer Bars Training
  • Cicerone Certified Beer Server

REQUIRED ABILITIES

  • Able to maneuver 165 lbs and team lift 165 lbs
  • Lift up to 35 lbs independently from floor, at waist level, and above waist
  • Able to stand for 10+ hours per day
  • Able to twist, crouch, bend, and stoop multiple times per day
  • Can understand and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and handle chemicals in a safe manner
