Description Job Summary: As a Cocktail Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable experience for our guests. Duties/Responsibilities: Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting and engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Anticipate their needs and provide prompt and attentive service throughout their visit. Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, mixed drinks, beers, wines, and other beverages following standard recipes and presentation guidelines. Ensure all drinks are made to the highest quality and consistency. Upselling and Recommendations: Proactively upsell additional drinks, menu items, or specials to enhance the guest experience. Provide recommendations based on guests' preferences and menu knowledge. Order Taking and Processing: Accurately take orders from guests, ensuring all details are noted correctly. Enter orders into the POS system promptly and process payments efficiently. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the bar area, including tables, countertops, and bar tools. Keep the service area well-stocked with necessary supplies, such as napkins, straws, and garnishes. Teamwork: Collaborate with bartenders, barbacks, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. Assist in restocking inventory and completing side work tasks as assigned. Knowledge of Products: Stay informed about the menu offerings, including ingredients, flavors, and presentation. Be able to answer guests' questions and provide accurate information about the drinks and food options. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices. Follow proper procedures for checking identification and preventing over-intoxication. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service. Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve guest concerns with professionalism. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management. Active listening skills to understand guest preferences and needs. Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a neat and organized work area and handle multiple orders accurately and efficiently. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays. Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification Must have an Alcohol Service Licensing or certification. Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS – Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity Education and Experience: Must be at least twenty-one years old. Prior experience as a cocktail server or in a similar customer service role is preferred. Familiarity with bartending techniques and drink recipes is an advantage. Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying trays, and performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching. Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
