Description It is the responsibility of the Cocktail Server to take and deliver customer orders, maintain tables, guest satisfaction and finalize checks Principal Duties & Responsibilities Take order(s), and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable. Place order(s), and garnish and serve cocktails to guests. Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available. Knowledge of casino services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment to include fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies. Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft. Requirements Performs other job-related duties as requested. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States. Education High School Diploma or GED - Preferred Work Experience 6+ Months of Prior Relevant Experience as a cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment - Preferred Additional Requirements Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays. - Required Experience working in a similar resort setting. - Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of beverages on menu, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes. Highly motivated and energetic personality. Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility. Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. Ability to lead and mentor a team.

Responsibilities

The Cocktail Server is responsible for taking and delivering food and drink orders while maintaining guest satisfaction. Duties include managing table service, finalizing checks, and performing opening and closing station maintenance.
