Description

Reporting to the Senior Advisor - Materials Management, the Cataloguer will be responsible of managing and maintaining Gold Fields’ Central Master Catalogue by ensuring that all materials and services are correctly classified and adhere to the Gold Fields’ standards/guidelines (i.e. ONIQUA / AUSLANG / NATO). He/she will work a schedule of 5 days on, 2 days off, and will be required to work both from home and from the Montreal office, with occasional visits to the Windfall site. Transportation, accomodation and meals provided when traveling to the site.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in cataloguing within the mining industry
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business and Engineering or related discipline (an asset).

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Experience with SAP Cataloguing
  • Prior work experience in ONIQUA / AUSLANG / NATO cataloguing standards/guidelines
  • Prior experience in the day-to-day operations of materials management
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications
  • Data clean-up and standardization project experience
  • Research and development with respect to relevant mining materials
  • Mining materials specific OHS requirements awareness
  • Cataloguing and mining OEM and materials technical knowledge

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management Systems’ standards by participating in initiatives and contributing to audits.
  • Create, update and maintain material catalogues in a timely manner whilst following Gold Fields Canada master data standards, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high data quality by ensuring the master data is consistent, complete (i.e. no missing fields), accurate, up-to-date and free of duplication.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of cataloguing and enrichment of master data.
  • Understand the impacts of poor data quality to core GFA business processes such as Maintenance and Supply Chain.
  • Ensure superseded/supersession items are correctly reflected in the master data catalogues.
  • Liaise with the engineers, contract officers, business groups and vendors coordinating the preparation of material master catalogues.
  • Notify relevant stakeholders when master data is created, updated or maintained.
  • Work with Supply Chain Inventory Analyst and Site to periodically review and rationalise (i.e. archive redundant records) the material master catalogues.
  • Consistently demonstrate and reflect behaviours, actions and attitudes in line with the Gold Field’s Vision, Values and Code of Ethics. Actively promote Gold Field’s policies, procedures and systems relating to your area of responsibility.
