Location: St. Albert, AB
Job Type: Part-Time (Approx. 8–10 hours per week to start)
Schedule: Weekday after-school shifts + one daytime shift for homeschool coding programs
About the Role
Do you enjoy technology, coding, or gaming — and want to inspire kids to get excited about it too? IDEA Lab Kids St. Albert is hiring enthusiastic, tech-savvy instructors for our Code Champions program (ages 5–12).
No need to be a coding expert — we provide full training on our fun, game-based platform that introduces real programming concepts through Scratch, Python, JavaScript, HTML, C++ and more!

What You’ll Do

• Instruct after-school coding classes (1–1.5 hours each) and/or
• Lead one weekly homeschool coding session
• Support students as they complete projects and challenges
• Keep class fun, engaging, and safe
• Set up and clean up materials/devices
• Communicate with families when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Comfortable with computers and basic coding (training provided)
• Experience or interest in coding and programming, and video games like Minecraft.
• Experience working with kids (camp, tutoring, teaching, mentoring, etc.)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Enthusiasm for STEAM learning

Requirements

• One weekday afternoon and/or one daytime shift per week with opportunity for more!
• First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
