ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Coffee Research Executive role is critical within the World Coffee Portal research team. You will perform primary research to inform Allegra report publications. These reports are purchased by some of the largest brands within the global coffee and hospitality industry, providing them with the insights they need to make long-term strategic business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct research in accordance with World Coffee Portal’s proprietary research framework
· Perform coffee market research across multiple global geographies
· Build first rate knowledge of key coffee markets, brand profiles and consumer trends
· Identify new coffee shop brands, collecting sizing and supplier information
· Conduct in-depth interviews and distribute industry surveys with key industry players
· Build the Allegra contacts database by developing a wide breadth of industry contacts
· Contribute to the creation of industry and consumer surveys
· Update best practice documentation for all World Coffee portal research processes
· Support the team in delivering ad hoc client requirements for bespoke projects
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
· Passion for coffee and knowledge of the wider industry
· Strong attention to detail, ability to identify and correct data errors
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Intuitive knowledge of trustworthy and untrustworthy data sources
· Diligent, organised team player with positive attitude
· Capable of multi-tasking across different projects and working to deadlines
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Must already be based in Greater London, UK
ROLE DESIRABLES
· Previous experience within market research
· University degree or above
· Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
· Experience using IBM SPSS Statistics
