Job Description Based in Hamburg, this role will support LDC’s Coffee commercial strategy across Northern Europe, with a strong focus on Germany and selected neighboring markets. The position combines sales development, market expansion, execution excellence, and strategic insight to strengthen LDC’s regional footprint and deliver sustainable growth. The selected candidate will report to the Marketing Manager for Germany. Missions and duties: Sales & Strategic Development Execute LDC’s global coffee sales strategy for both Green and Soluble Coffee across the assigned region. Develop new customer accounts and nurture long‑term, strategic partnerships with existing clients. Support business development initiatives, including new trade flows, strategic positions, off‑take agreements, and sustainability-focused solutions. Promote LDC’s products, capabilities, and value proposition to key customers, ensuring strong engagement and trust. Commercial Development Assess regional market needs and provide commercial solutions to your clients needs. Manage day‑to‑day customer relationships and respond promptly to inquiries. Maintain accurate and up to date spot inventory as well as any commercial records and reports that will be needed to support commercial decisions. Execution Coordinate end‑to‑end execution of all trades, including sampling, logistics, inventory management, invoicing, exposure tracking, quality controls and claims from origin to destination. Implement creative and cost‑efficient logistics solutions to enhance service quality. Collaborate closely with traders, execution teams, origin offices, customs brokers, 3rd party warehouses, freight providers, and support functions to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency. Market Intelligence Gather, analyze, and disseminate market intelligence on supply, demand, pricing, competition, and emerging trends within the region. Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for both regional and global trading teams. Qualifications Profile: Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, or Commodity Trading Fluent English and German are essential; knowledge of Russian or Polish will be considered a significant asset 3+ years of experience in coffee trading, merchandising, green coffee sales Basic understanding of coffee sustainability programs and certifications Green coffee quality knowledge is a plus Interest in international logistics, trade or commodities High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload under pressure Self-starter with the ability to work independently Effective written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Additional Information Additional Information for the job What We Offer We provide a dynamic and stimulating international environment, which will stretch and develop your abilities and channel your skills and expertise with outstanding career development opportunities in one of the largest and most solid private companies in the world.
