JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. Your passion for coffee and hospitality will play a key role in creating a memorable experience for our patrons.

SKILLS

• Previous experience in a restaurant or café environment is advantageous
• Barista experience preferred, with knowledge of various coffee brewing methods
• Strong food safety awareness to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in catering and food preparation
• Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently throughout shifts

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
• Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items meet food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee shop, including tables, counters, and equipment
• Handle cash and card transactions efficiently while providing receipts to customers
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
• Provide catering services for events when required
