JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coffee Shop Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality coffee experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with the ability to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a passion for coffee, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong background in food service management with knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
  • Experience with inventory control, cash and card payment handling, and budgeting is essential.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and staff training & development.
  • Familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations is preferred; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience as an assistant manager or supervisor in a hospitality setting is advantageous.
  • Culinary experience or barista experience is highly desirable; knowledge of coffee preparation is a must.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Train, develop, and supervise staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain operational standards.
  • Handle POS transactions accurately using Toast POS system.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the shop.
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Implement effective shift management practices to optimize staff performance and customer flow.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new team members.
  • Develop budgets and manage financial aspects of the coffee shop operations.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
