This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding independent specialty coffee roastery. We are looking for an enthusiastic coffee shop manager who is passionate about leading a team in a busy environment, the coffee industry and the local community.
Your duties will include:
Ensuring coffee standards are maintained throughout the site
Engage and motivate all staff members within the team to be as effective as possible
Ensure shop rota is scheduled appropriately and posted to all staff on time
In the event of staff sicknesses it will be the manager’s responsibility to organise adequate cover
Ensure all local authority standards are adhered to at all times and maintain adequate hygiene levels across site
Ensure all day-to-day maintenance is reported accordingly
Work alongside head office to organise holiday rotas
Ensure all stock levels are adequate for both the coffee shop and events
Project manage and run events at the site
Attend hospitality events on behalf of the business
Assist the roasting team with cuppings
Increase Crosby Coffee presence in the community
Meet sales/income targets set by Directors
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso based drinks and teas.
Prepare and serve a limited food menu
Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment
Clean and service seating area
Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators and heating equipment to ensure proper functionality
Provide customers with product details, such as coffee information or home brewing guidelines
Greet all customers with fast, friendly, personalised service and develop a rapport with customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items
Receive and call back customers in a friendly manner, record messages and contact information to pass to head office if necessary
Receive and process customer payments, including card payments
The role is 5 days per week, working an average of 42 hours per week.
To apply for this role you must have experience managing a busy site within the hospitality industry. We would also prefer coffee experience
