POSITION SUMMARY

The Coil Line Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the coil line machine to produce sheet metal flat sheets according to required specifications. This role is critical in ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in the fabrication process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of experience operating coil line or sheet metal fabrication is an asset.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and commitment to safe practices.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Operate coil line equipment to cut, form, and process sheet metal to specifications.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and production schedules.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Perform regular machine set-ups, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment or material issues to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
