This job posting is for pipelining purposes for upcoming jobs
To provide engineering and operational expertise for coiled tubing (CT) drilling services on field locations. The CT Field Specialist will be responsible for designing and executing coiled tubing drilling Operations, ensuring technical integrity, HSE compliance, and alignment with project objectives in the UAE.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • Solid 10 years’ MOTOR experience as a directional driller in Sidetracks (slim hole sizes), 3D profiles, and long lateral sections using both MTR.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in coiled tubing drilling including milling, sidetracking, or underbalanced drilling
  • Familiar with CT bottom-hole assemblies (BHAs), PDMs, ERTs, and measurement tools (e.g., downhole pressure/temperature sensors)
  • Exposure to UAE or Middle East operations is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of QHSE practices, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems
  • Ability to work under pressure in rotational/on-call environments
  • Proven track record of successful CTD deployment across vertical, deviated, and horizontal wells.
  • Familiarity with directional drilling software (e.g., Advantage, cadence, well architect or similar).
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and design coiled tubing drilling programs, including BHA configuration, hydraulic simulations, and tool selections
  • Lead CT operations at rig or well site, ensuring service quality and adherence to client specifications
  • Monitor real-time downhole parameters, trajectory corrections, and tool responses to ensure planned well path is achieved.
  • Conduct pre-job readiness checks, including equipment function testing, tool string QA/QC, and reviews
  • Conduct daily reporting, job logs, end-of-well reports, and post-job performance reviews.
  • Supervise BHA assembly, tool calibration, and troubleshooting of downhole equipment.
  • Prepare post-job reports including time/depth logs, tool performance summaries, and lessons learned
  • Ensure full compliance with company and client HSE standards and procedures at all times
  • Maintain communication with project managers and engineering teams to optimize operational outcomes
  • Participate in job planning meetings and provide technical input for continuous improvement
