Description Overall Role & Responsibility: The role of the Collaboration and Training Specialist is to facilitate, promote and coordinate partners to effectively address community issues through collaboration, improve access to resources, and facilitate training opportunities on American Indian reservations. Primary responsibilities include implementation of partner collaboration services, high impact projects and integrated training programs, inclusive of assessment, plan of action development, facilitation, tracking, and day to day operations. Essential Functions: Gain a complete understanding of program services and the issues those services address. Listen to partners and interact with all levels of program personnel with dignity, respect and cultural awareness. Retain and motivate partner programs while recognizing and addressing their concerns and needs. Effectively present information in a clear manner, respond to questions, and exhibit strong partnership building skills. Implement current and future High Impact projects using logic model and the High Impact Program Develop Documents Organize, facilitate and convene focus or collaborative groups on selected reservations and areas. Provide leadership and coordination of collaborative services and training with attention to detail and organization. Identify and coordinate training with both on and off reservation institutions. Hire and recruit trainers with a high sense of cultural awareness and adult learning styles. Determine the training needs of partners and effectively match the training modality to partner requests. Track collaborative and training progress and follow up with program partners to ensure completion of plans of action. Thoroughly communicate all online training, institutional training and online library resources to program partners. Build, develop, and administer incentive and leadership training programs to encourage reservation self-sufficiency. Work with project funders. Secondary Functions: Participate in service activities, as required. Monitor, report, and control expenses. Provide progress reports to Program Manager of High Impact Programs. Other duties as assigned by VP/Program Manager Work Conditions: Monday–Friday 8:00 am -4:00 pm Work is performed under the broad direction of the VP/ Programs Manager with the majority of work performed independently. Extensive travel required. Education/Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of three years related experience in networking, facilitation management or community development. Work experience on American Indian reservations preferred Requirements Job Skills Required: Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in writing and to speak effectively before groups Ability to read and interpret budgets and strong general mathematical skills Strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal, facilitation and listening skills.
