Mortgage Collateral & Delivery Specialist I JOB SUMMARY: Collateral & Delivery Specialist I is responsible for processing the collateral files for all loans closed or purchased by the company. This position will ensure the quality collateral notes delivered to Agencies and end Investors. Additionally, will ensure the agency purchase advice are processed. Processing document release requests from the Servicing Department, Risk, Post Closing & Transaction Management Department. Includes requesting, receiving, shipping, tracking, and filing documents to and from custodians, attorneys, sub-servicers, and investors.   Mortgage Collateral & Delivery Specialist I ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES): * Processes purchase advice when securities are settled, including Special Program and TVLB loans communicating to various lines of business and payoff the warehouse lines. * Generates reports using exceptions-based methodology to monitor and communicate performance of the transaction areas through report automation and timely delivery. * Pulls reporting for not yet received closing packages, follows up with title companies to obtain status and tracking. Correspondent: Generates Byte report to pull funded correspondent collateral from fire-proof safe to ship to appropriate warehouse banks/custodian/master servicer/internal transfer to GFB fire-proof safe. * Processes original collateral notes to ensure correct, Retail; resolves any errors by creating exceptions to be cleared. Correspondent: resolves errors by creating exceptions to be cleared by the Correspondent Liaison prior to purchase of loan. * Controls and dispositions of original collateral documents. Processes daily collateral requests received from parties within company and notifies requester upon receipt of collateral. Follows up with custodian on requested collateral per custodian's SLA for release also follows up with transfer of collateral documents on servicing transfers. * Pulls PIF reporting and 1) pulls physical documents from vault for applicable loans and deliver to Servicing 2) reconcile PIF loans with Custodian and applicable 3rd party vendor. * Processes collateral on repurchased loans from various agencies/Investors, to/from various agencies/Investors/custodians, collateral for Foreclosure referrals, and Servicing Release Collateral transfers per the MSR contract via Agency or Investor websites (e.g.,GinnieNet) and custodian websites/portals. * Processes loss mitigation modifications to the custodian while maintaining agency timeline requirements. * Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules. * Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned. Qualifications Mortgage Collateral & Delivery Specialist I REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   Knowledge/Skills/Abilities * Basic knowledge of all aspects of secondary marketing related to mortgage banking and familiarity with selling agencies. * Basic knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data for researching collateral documents. * Proficient in MS Office applications. * Ability to handle detailed assignments in a high volume and fast-paced environment and to prioritize workload to meet deadlines. * Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy.
