Description The Collateral Specialist reports directly to the Team Lead Post Closing/Retail. This position requires excellent organizational skills and strong analytical analysis. This candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment, can multi-task and is detailed oriented. Key Responsibilities: Audit all Final documents for accuracy in multiply business lines. Monitor transfer of recorded documents via MERS system to and from GBC. Work closely with Manager to ensure timely reporting, corrections and tracking. Responsible for collecting, endorsing and delivery of documents to purchasing investors. Compliance: Ensure compliance with investor requirements; avoid all penalties. Responsible for all Bulk investor purchase and Sale Transfers in MERS system. Log and file legal documents into secured retention requirements. Notify correspondents, custodians and investors for delivery and receiving of documents. Monitor associated tracking. Requirements Minimum 5+ years of document auditing and tracking experience, to include FHA, VA and USDA loan types. Experience with MERS and final and legal document requirements. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office and Loan Origination Systems (LOS). Excellent communication skills. Previous experience with Microsoft Excel. Manual lifting of loan documents in excess of 25 lbs. Preferred: Previous experience with Encompass software, Excell, MERS. This role requires to be in-office 5 days per week. Responsibilities
