Debt Control Agency Inc (DCA) is one of the most prestigious collection agencies in Canada with its Head Office in Toronto, Ontario and Branch Offices in Laval, Quebec and Kelowna, British Columbia. We have been providing full cycle of collection services from Customers Cure Program and Third Party Collections to Legal Program for over 18 years.
Our clients include many of Canada’s largest financial institutions, utilities, and government sectors. As we continue to grow, we are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, career minded individuals with third party collection experience and or sales experience to augment our existing teams.

Due to our ongoing success and growth, we are in the process of expanding our Operations in Toronto, ON, and looking to recruit 6 self-motivated, career minded individuals with third-party banking collection experience to augment our existing teams. This position is on-site, and the hours of operation are:

  • Mondays and Tuesdays 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Fridays 7:30 am - 2:30 pm
  • One Saturday a month 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Collection Agent. As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a background in finance or customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience in collections or a similar role
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and maintain professionalism in challenging situations
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect outstanding payments
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and develop repayment plans
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities
  • Perform account analysis to identify delinquent accounts and determine appropriate actions
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure timely payment
