Job Description As a Collection and Delivery Driver for DPD, you'll be the face of our company and play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include: Serving as the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service when collecting or delivering parcels Starting your shift at the depot, where you'll be responsible for efficiently loading parcels onto your 3.5 tonne van Following a daily delivery schedule and managing your route effectively to ensure timely collections and deliveries Safely operating and maintaining the 3.5 tonne van, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies Accurately scanning and recording parcel information using handheld devices Collecting signatures and other necessary proof of delivery from customers Promptly reporting any delivery issues, vehicle problems, or customer concerns to your supervisor Maintaining a clean and organised van, conducting daily vehicle checks, and reporting any maintenance needs Adapting to changing weather conditions and adjusting your delivery approach accordingly Collaborating with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and efficient parcel sorting Wearing the provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty Demonstrating the core DPD DNA Values of: Honesty, Respect, Passion, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
