Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Collection Manager to lead PalmPay’s debt recovery and collection operations in Bangladesh. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in managing large-scale collections in banks (state-owned or private) or financial institutions, with proven success in leading large collection teams and achieving recovery targets. This role requires a leader with deep expertise in credit risk management, debt collection strategies, and regulatory compliance who can set up and scale our collections framework in Bangladesh. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the collections department, supervising a team across multiple channels. Develop and implement effective collection strategies to achieve recovery and delinquency targets. Oversee daily collection activities, including call centers, field collection, and recovery agents. Assign daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to team members and ensure execution. Analyze portfolio performance and design action plans for early, mid, and late-stage collections. Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to track recovery rates and operational efficiency. Mentor and train collection staff to maintain high performance and professionalism. Liaise with legal teams on escalated recovery cases and enforcement actions. Provide management with regular reports and recommendations on collection performance, risks, and strategies. Drive continuous improvement through technology, automation, and best practices in debt collection. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field. Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in collections and recovery within banks or financial institutions. At least 3 years in a managerial role leading large collection teams. Strong knowledge of debt collection regulations, credit risk management, EMI recovery processes frameworks in Bangladesh. Proven track record of achieving recovery targets and maintaining KPI discipline. Proven track record of achieving recovery and collection targets. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Proficiency in MS Office, collection software/CRM tools, and data analysis for reporting. Fluency in Bangla and English.
