WMCU is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Specialist to join our Collections team in Grand Rapids. This role is responsible for managing delinquent loan accounts, coordinating repossessions and recoveries, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Monitor and manage assigned delinquent loan accounts.
• Contact members via phone, mail, email, and text to resolve delinquencies and bring accounts current.
• Conduct skip tracing to locate members with delinquent accounts.
• Handle judgment accounts, including garnishments, discovery, and asset execution.
• Manage charge-off and write-off accounts.
• Coordinate repossession and sale of collateral, ensuring all related processes are completed.
• Represent WMCU in legal proceedings, including filing suits, judgments, repossessions, and bankruptcy claims.
• Maintain detailed records of all member communications and collection activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML and OFAC.
• Support the Collections team with additional tasks as needed.
