Job Title: Collector / Collections Clerk (temporary)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid: In-office & Remote)
Pay Rate: $22/hour + vacation pay on top of this; paid weekly
Employment Type: Temporary (initially until August 31st, with potential for extension)

SCHEDULE:

  • In-office: Monday, Tuesday, Friday | 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Remote: Saturday, Sunday | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Days Off: Wednesday & Thursday
    About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Collector to join our team on a hybrid basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for customer service and account resolution. You will be responsible for managing B2C collections, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely follow-ups.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ideally 1 year + of collections experience
  • QuickBooks experience is required
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable working in both office and remote environments
Responsibilities
  • Contact customers regarding outstanding balances via phone and email
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve account discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and payment statuses
  • Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track collections activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
