JOB DESCRIPTIONCOLLECTIONS SPECIALIST

Our client is looking to add a Collections Specialist to their growing team. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing past-due accounts, resolving payment issues, and supporting accounts receivable operations to ensure timely collections.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST:

• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Understanding of AR processes and basic accounting principles.1+ year of AR or collections experience required.

• Monitor customer account aging and follow up on overdue balances.
• Resolve payment discrepancies, process adjustments, and reconcile accounts.
• Communicate with customers to collect payments and address issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and deduction disputes.
• Escalate unresolved accounts and provide regular status updates.
• Support monthly collection goals and assist with special projects as needed.
