What to Expect
The Collection Specialist is part of Tesla’s Financial Operations team and will work with customers throughout their contract life to ensure the best ownership experience. They will be responsible for managing and performing the collection of all outstanding accounts receivables from financial services customers. They must be good communicators who can assist owners with any questions or requests they might have as well as customer outreach to resolve issues with customers pro-actively. They also serve as a resource for information for owners and other stakeholders on customer facing aspects of the financing and leasing experience in the markets we serve.
The ideal candidate will possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, unshakeable moral fortitude, integrity and a strong awareness of appropriate professional behavior when supporting customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, monitor and collect outstanding accounts receivables balances from Tesla Financial Services customers throughout the life cycle of their contracts
  • Demonstrate high levels of communication in both emails and telephone calls, to guide customers through options, whilst showing empathy to customers and providing a high level of service in a calm and considered manner. Ability to problem solve and provide suitable options specific to a customer’s individual situation
  • Coordinate functionally with sales, delivery, service, finance, and other internal teams to resolve customer queries and building processes to support similar future requests or questions
  • Manage a pipeline of inbound and outbound customer tasks including arrears outreach, complaints handling and outreach campaigns
  • Drive improvements to the Collections process to improve the overall performance of the including creating and tracking initiatives with the Servicing team, other operational teams and digital products
  • Ensure we can provide reporting to credit bureaus and other third parties who require arrears and collections data from Tesla
  • Establish and maintain reporting to provide insight into the performance and progress of collections activities. Assist with special projects and general accounts maintenance tasks as needed

What You’ll Bring

  • Customer facing experience, with a strong awareness of appropriate behavior when supporting customers
  • Previous experience within a collections environment is preferable, or a willingness and interest to work in this area
  • High level of integrity and accountability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and customers in German, French and English
  • Ability to work independently with a superior attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including some weekends and holidays
