Description Job Summary Overview The position is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Risk Management Department for collections of loans and prevention of losses. Essential Job Functions Handles constructive conversations with members in efforts to assist them in bringing their loans and shares current with effective payment plans. Focuses on delinquent loans and shares in early and mid-stage delinquency and various special status accounts. Provides members with various options to resolve delinquency. Meets performance standards created to protect the credit union from financial losses. Completes cross-training as needed for job functions within the Risk Division. Acts in accordance with the credit union's values. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements Position Required Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of computers and the ability to type 25 words per minute. Ability to read, write, speak, and use proper grammar in English. Ability, work a collections queue and work with other financial institutions. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to internal customers and vendors. Ability to communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone. Ability to define problems. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Licenses, Training, and Certifications Required None. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year experience in a financial institution, customer service, Teleservices, or any related field. Hybrid Work Environment and Physical Demands Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
