Job Title: Collections Specialist (B2B)
Location: Omaha, NE
Salary Range: $47,000 – $52,000 per year
About the Role:
Marick Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Collections Specialist to join our finance team in Omaha. This role will focus exclusively on business-to-business (B2B) collections and requires an individual with strong communication skills, persistence, and professionalism. The Collections Specialist will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and play a key role in ensuring the company maintains healthy cash flow and strong client relationships.
Responsibilities: Manage B2B collections activities, ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices.
Communicate professionally with clients to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
Collaborate with internal teams (finance, operations, project managers) to reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
Monitor aging reports and maintain accurate records of collection efforts in company systems.
Prepare collection reports and provide regular updates to the VP of Finance.
Recommend escalation actions for severely delinquent accounts in line with company policies.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of B2B collections experience required (B2C collections experience will not be considered).
Strong knowledge of collections processes, account reconciliation, and business credit practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism in all client interactions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting/ERP software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
