Description Position Summary: As a Cash Collections Specialist at Sharps Medical Waste Services, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the company while supporting excellent customer experiences. You’ll manage accounts receivable, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely collection of payments—all while collaborating closely with internal teams to keep operations running smoothly. Contact customers regarding past-due balances professionally and effectively. Respond to customer inquiries, reconcile statements, and research or correct discrepancies. Apply customer payments to the correct accounts and invoices (cash application). Process credit card payments, conduct accounts receivable research, reconciliation, and data entry. Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts. Support continuous improvement of collections processes and workflow efficiency. Requirements Requirements 3+ years of accounts receivable experience; at least 1 year of collections experience. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using ERP systems. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy. Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
