Internship Overview General Carbide is seeking motivated College Aged Engineering Summer Interns to join our manufacturing team as part of the General Carbide Innovation Internship Program Competition. This is a paid, hands-on summer internship designed for college students interested in gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Interns will work on meaningful projects that support production, process improvement, and innovation while collaborating with experienced engineers and manufacturing professionals. Areas of Exposure May Include Manufacturing Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical) Automation and Process Improvement CAD/CAM Quality and Continuous Improvement Machine Operations and Efficiency Optimization Data collection and analysis to support engineering projects Internship Details Paid internship internship mid-May to beginning of August (approximately 12 weeks). Compete against other internship teams for a monetary award, based on project progress and demonstrated impact on daily operational efficiency. Why Join General Carbide? Requirements Qualifications College-aged students (18–25) Currently pursuing or interested in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field Strong interest in hands-on manufacturing environments Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic knowledge of mechanical, chemical, electrical, and/or software engineering is a plus but not required Automation experience or interest is a plus but not required Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
