Ohio Department of Public Safety – Ohio State Highway Patrol Report In Location – 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223 Work Day and Hours – Work Days and Hours will vary between Monday – Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM depending on student’s schedule This is an ongoing internship located in Columbus, OH. The selected candidate will ideally be able to work throughout the school year and summer, for an average of 20 hours per week or less (with flexibility during the school semesters given class schedule and course load). What You'll Do as a College Intern: • Assist with processing of mail • Prep, scan and index reports • Convert old cases from microfilm and digital • Assist with monthly retention of reports • Assist with special projects • Opportunity to learn about law enforcement operations including tours, ride-a-longs, etc. • The duties are primarily administrative with exposure to general operations of a large law enforcement agency. The Major/Field of Study should be in: • Business • Criminal Justice • General Studies • Pre-Law • Political Science To be eligible for an internship opportunity at the Ohio Department of Public Safety, an applicant must: • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university. • Be in good standing with the college/university. • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0. • Be enrolled in at least one course. • Be pursuing a degree or finishing a degree.
