INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:•

• igh school diploma or G.E.D.•
• hree (3) years’ post-high school general work experience•
• valid Florida driver’s license•
• asic computer literacy and skills, to include the use of Microsoft Office Suite, MS Word or equivalent, Outlook, email, etc.•
• nowledge of Florida law, security and safety practices, and law enforcement principles in a college environment•
• ass a criminal background check and required physical.•
• ot receive any traffic tickets, citations, or summonses in the past 5 years•
• bility to operate personal computer and associated software packages/programs, a cellular phone, portable radio, AED, hand-held ticket machine, multi-passenger van, and golf cartC

REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:•

• ne (1) year of full-time security or law enforcement experience. Comparable duties in the U.S. Armed Services accepted.•
• current Florida Security Class D or G License.•
• ssociate’s degree or semester credit hour equivalent, or above.•
• ertification in and ability to perform/administer basic First Aid, CPR, AED.•
• raining/certification in the principles of the Incident Command System (ICS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS).W

ORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:•

• ight work: exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible mount of force constantly to move objects.•
• limbing, sitting, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, repetitive motions, running, bending, squatting, kneeling, grasping and ability to communicate appropriately with students/colleagues.•
• equired to conduct foot patrols in buildings and on campus grounds for eight hours or more•
• equired to possess the ability to ascend/descend up to five flights of stairs quickly without rest to respond to routine calls and emergencies; g•
• hifts may require the individual to work in adverse weather conditions.•
• bility to detect, perceive, identify, and recognize the odor of burning materials, noxious chemicals, or other harmful odors/scents•
• rocess manual dexterity to check locks, doors, windows, fire alarm pull stations, burglar and trouble alarm system control panels, etc.•
