The Estimator Apprentice position is designed to introduce individuals to the fundamentals of auto body repair estimating. This role provides on-the-job training under the supervision of experienced estimators, with the goal of developing the skills needed to independently prepare accurate repair estimates, interact with customers and insurance companies, and support the smooth operation of the shop.

• Assist estimators with inspecting damaged vehicles and documenting necessary repairs.
• Learn to use estimating software (e.g., CCC One) to prepare preliminary estimates.
• Take clear, detailed photos of vehicle damage for documentation.
• Record customer and vehicle information accurately.
• Communicate with customers regarding the repair process under supervision.
• Learn to review and interpret insurance estimates and supplements.
• Support the estimating team with administrative tasks (e.g., scanning, filing, scheduling).
• Shadow senior estimators during customer interactions and insurance adjuster meetings.
• Participate in ongoing training related to collision repair processes, parts identification, and insurance procedures.
