Description We are searching for a Production Manager to help oversee the daily operations of a high-volume collision repair facility in Atlanta near Chamblee. This role is responsible for coordinating technicians, managing repair timelines, monitoring performance metrics, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is an organized, solutions-driven leader with strong communication skills and extensive collision repair experience. You are key responsibilities are: Workflow & Scheduling Manage and optimize the production schedule to ensure on-time delivery of vehicles. Coordinate job assignments for body, paint, mechanical, and detailing teams. Monitor repair cycle times, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions. Review repair orders for completeness and accuracy before production starts. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and mentor a team of technicians and support staff. Conduct daily production meetings to align the team on goals, priorities, and expectations. Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members. Cultivate a collaborative, safety-conscious, and high-performance shop culture. Quality Control & Safety Ensure all repairs meet OEM standards, insurance guidelines, and shop quality requirements. Perform in-process and final repair quality inspections. Enforce OSHA and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment. Customer & Stakeholder Communication Work closely with estimators, service advisors, and parts departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Provide status updates to customers and insurance partners as needed. Resolve production-related issues promptly and professionally. Operational Efficiency Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, touch time, and productivity. Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste. Ensure proper use and maintenance of shop equipment and tools. Assist in inventory management and parts flow to prevent delays. Requirements Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in collision repair operations; prior leadership or supervisory experience required. Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, equipment, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret repair plans, blueprints, and OEM procedures. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient with shop management software (CCC, Mitchell, or similar). Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Work Environment Fast-paced, high-volume collision center environment. Requires regular movement throughout the shop, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
