Effective through December 31, 2026. Responsibilities The "Medical Office Specialist" provides Front/Back office duties to various gastroenterology providers in an outpatient setting. Open to individuals who have finished their Medical Assistant (MA) program or those in need of clinical hours before starting graduate school (18-24 months required). This position is a traveling Medical Assistant/Medical Office Specialist who will be primarily supporting providers downtown and at the Lutherville office. Front Office Duties: Greet patients in a courteous and friendly manner, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule and confirm patient appointments and procedures Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or fees as needed. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and other callers. Complete patient check-in and check-out processes. Back Office Duties: Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR). Administer injections and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers. (on-site training provided) Perform basic laboratory tests, including specimen collection and processing. Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers. Requirements Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one-year experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Certification Requirements: CPR-preferred Other Requirements: Will be required to travel to satellite offices including but not limited to: Lutherville Min USD $18.66/Hr. Max USD $30.79/Hr. Salary Information Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
