Who we are
VIVO provides facilities management and accommodation maintenance for the UK military and its partners. VIVO embodies both experience and innovation.
What we do
We put our Customers and Families First. They are the driving force behind everything we do. We drive forward improvements for them to ensure the service they receive, whether reactive repairs or a major project, is completed safely and on time. In order to achieve this, we have 4 core values: open, caring, agile and collaborative. These are at the heart of everything we do.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: RAF Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Feltwell
Salary: Up to £35,000 + a company car
Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week (7:30AM – 16:30PM)
Are you ready to take on a role in a fast-paced, high-profile environment? We are looking for a COM Supervisor / COM Manager to oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance tasks at RAF Lakenheath, Mildenhall and Feltwell. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of essential services for the United States Visiting Forces, managing a team of engineers and operatives while maintaining the highest standards of service.
About the role;
Your key responsibilities will include leading and managing a team of 9 engineers and operatives, ensuring that maintenance tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality. You will oversee subcontractors, ensuring compliance with COM processes, KPIs, and SLAs, while also providing expert technical support to Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and Head of Establishment (HoE) representatives. Health & Safety compliance will be a top priority, and you will be responsible for ensuring that all RAMS documentation and risk assessments are in place.
You will attend move ins, visit properties to snag them and liaise with the USVF client to ensure all properties meet the required standard.
Exceptional service delivery is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with military personnel, DIO, and VIVO’s supply chain to maintain strong working relationships. You will also conduct team briefings, deal with disciplinaries, deliver toolbox talks, and mentor apprentices to support the development of your team.
What you’ll need;
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH. A full UK driving licence and the ability to obtain SC level Security Clearance are essential. You should hold an SMSTS qualification or be willing to upskill towards one, and you must have demonstrable experience in managing maintenance or construction contractors. A background in void properties, along with excellent communication skills, reliability, and self-motivation.
Previous experience in an MOD environment or existing SC clearance would also be beneficial.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join VIVO and be part of a team that plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the US Visiting Forces. In return, you will benefit from career development opportunities, a supportive work environment, and the chance to contribute to a meaningful and impactful mission.
If you have the skills, experience, and leadership qualities to excel in this role, apply today and take the next step in your career with VIVO.
