OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Combilift Operator / Yardhand to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the yard’s organization and efficiency, ensuring that all materials and equipment are properly handled and stored. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing shop is required, minimum 2 years.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks, when required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of safety practices in a yard and manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and calculations.
  • Safety training certifications, an asset
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for operating certain equipment.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks using combilift forklift.
  • Moving steel, material handling, operating feeding lines in shop.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper storage and organization of materials in the yard area and shop.
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Operate other machinery as needed (training will be provided).
  • General laborer duties, include industrial spray painting and housekeeping in manufacturing shop.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
