Austin Industrial is currently seeking an experienced Combo Pipe Welder to join our team located in Pensacola, FL. The Combo Pipe Welder will perform welding, pipefitting, mechanical troubleshooting, and maintenance work within an industrial paper mill environment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform high‑quality welds on various metals and pipe systems. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe systems using various welding processes. * Cut, fit, and fabricate pipe spools and components. * Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols. * Perform maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery. * Assist with troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment and plant systems. * Ensure work is completed safely and according to company and customer standards. * Work at various heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence. * Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Effective verbal communication skills. * Strong working knowledge of: * Welding processes * Mechanical systems * Hydraulic and pneumatic systems * Lubrication systems * Basic electrical and electronics technologies * Experience in a general machine shop environment with fitting, welding, and maintenance practices. Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience as a Combo Pipe Welder in general machine and fitting shop practice, welding, maintenance troubleshooting, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and pipefitting to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Valid driver’s license. * Ability to meet all physical demands listed above. * Must be able to work a 4/10 schedule, unless required to cover a shift. * Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States. * Austin Industrial is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas.
