Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world class supplier of power generation services, parts and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.
The Control Systems Division in Fort Collins, CO is seeking an experienced Controls Field Engineer with Combustion Tuning experience. The candidate would be responsible for tuning combustion emissions and/or dynamics for best possible turbine performance. Establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties when required. This position requires extensive short term travel within the US and short-term international travel.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Tuning of heavy duty DLN type I & II for emissions and/or dynamics
  • Knowledge of digital type GT controls for calibrations, minor maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs, internal service records and final reports in a timely manner;
  • Maintenance & knowledge of proper use of portable combustion dynamics equipment;
  • Ability to work independently and maintain daily communications with customers;
  • Meeting Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements;
  • Working as a member of the team to provide efficient service delivery to all customers;
  • Performing controls field engineer functions when not on tuning assignments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering);
  • Five years’ work experience in the Power Generation industry;
  • Two years experience tuning heavy duty DLN turbines
  • Experience interfacing with customers;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • Must be able to work in US power plant and other industrial environments. Extensive travel within the U.S. and short term international assignments.
  • Flexibility of hours per year committed is available and can be discussed prior to offer.
