This job post is for the role of Combustion Engineer within the Campania Engineering Center, at Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit.
We are looking for a talented engineer to join our Engineering team. Working as part of an integrated global team, in this role you will contribute to the design and development of Combustion System Modules and Components and their technology maturation vehicles, with the aim of supporting product evolution and design activities up to certification.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering Master degree from an accredited university. Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Passion for technical excellence and technology advancement.

  • Fluent written and spoken Italian and English
  • Clear thinking and diligent approach
  • English and Italian fluency
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the Design, analysis and test required to demonstrate main combustion performances
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the combustion discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute tasks
  • Perform aero-thermal analysis: 1D Flow network, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD 3D), Thermal analysis
  • Interact with mechanical analysis and design, providing input data and setting aero-thermal requirements
  • Execute the design and analysis of assigned projects using sound engineering principles in agreement to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Developing deep knowledge of a technical discipline, being in touch with the technical community and proactively participate to the improvement and foster of new methodology/tools
  • Participate in design reviews and tech reviews. Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with cross functional engineering team to support hardware design & test
  • Efficient communicate with the team to improve collaboration and eliminate waste. Share information and promote open dialogue
