ABOUT THE ROLE

If you love gaming—retro classics, modern favourites, and VR—and have a passion for STEM and coding, this could be your perfect job. As a Command Hub Operative (Shift Leader), you’ll take charge of shifts, leading the team to run our Games Room, kids’ parties, holiday clubs, and community events.
You’ll be responsible for supervising staff, making sure activities run smoothly, equipment is ready, and guests have a brilliant time. From gaming sessions and STEM clubs to birthday parties and escape games, you’ll help deliver fun, safe, and memorable experiences while ensuring the team works together effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead shifts, supervising staff and ensuring all activities are safe, well-organised, and on schedule
  • Keep the Games Room and party areas clean, safe, and fully prepared
  • Set up, check, and maintain retro, modern, and VR gaming equipment
  • Organise and help deliver kids’ parties, including food service and activities
  • Support the planning and delivery of STEM and coding sessions, afterschool clubs, holiday activities, and tabletop escape games
  • Welcome families, players, and party groups, making sure everyone feels included and enjoys their experience
  • Assist with promoting events in person and on social media
  • Handle issues calmly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary
