SUMMARY:

The Command Information & Engagements Manager role provides strategic coordination and logistical support for high-level command visits, engagements, and events. This position ensures seamless communication between stakeholders, manages event planning and execution, and supports strategic messaging and protocol functions. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities for contract staff supporting Strategic Communications, Marketing, and Multimedia efforts.
Responsibilities:

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in event planning and logistics coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of military protocol and government operations.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in event coordination, strategic communications, or public affairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience supporting DoD, DHA, or federal government communications
  • Familiarity with DHA R&D-MRDC initiatives and strategic communications.
  • Experience supervising contract staff or managing vendor relationships.
  • Advanced skills in content creation and social media strategy.
