Job Title: SME Insurance Account Handler
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 (dependent on experience)

ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous experience as an Account Handler within commercial insurance (SME focus preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of all classes of commercial insurance including property, liability, fleet, and combined policies
  • Proficient user of Acturis.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
  • Team player with a client-first approach and attention to detail

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of SME commercial clients, typically handling premiums in the £2,000 – £4,000 range. Working across all classes of commercial insurance, you’ll provide professional advice, ensure seamless service delivery, and support the growth of the business by strengthening client relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day handling of SME commercial accounts across multiple sectors
  • Preparing and processing renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business enquiries
  • Negotiating terms with insurers and underwriters to secure the best outcomes for clients
  • Providing high levels of client service and ensuring compliance with FCA regulations
  • Efficiently managing cases using Acturis
