JOB DESCRIPTION:
Watkins Insurance Agency is looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager. This individual will play a critical role in managing a complex and diverse book of mid-market to large commercial clients, providing expert-level service and insurance solutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School diploma or GED required
· Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial lines account management.
· Active Property & Casualty license required.
· Knowledge of commercial insurance products including General Liability, Property, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, Umbrella, and Professional Liability.
· Proficiency in agency management systems (e.g., Applied EPIC) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Standard office setting.
· Ability to sit, use computer, and communicate effectively for extended periods.
· Occasional travel for client meetings, training, or industry events may be required.

Client Relationship Management
· Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of commercial accounts.
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through excellent customer service and responsiveness.
· Conduct renewal strategy meetings and mid-year reviews with clients.
Policy Servicing & Administration
· Manage renewals, endorsements, audits, and cancellations.
· Prepare and present renewal proposals and marketing submissions.
· Handle certificates of insurance, binders, and policy delivery.
· Resolve billing inquiries, coverage questions, and claim-related service issues.
Marketing & Carrier Coordination
· Market new and renewal business to carriers.
· Negotiate terms and pricing with underwriters to deliver the best solutions to clients.
· Maintain strong carrier relationships and stay up-to-date with available programs and appetite changes.
Compliance & Documentation
· Ensure compliance with agency procedures and carrier guidelines.
· Maintain accurate client records and correspondence in the agency management system
· Adhere to all applicable insurance regulations and company standards.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
· Collaborate with producers, claims specialists, and other departments to ensure a seamless client experience.
· Participate in agency growth initiatives and training programs.
