Description
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Advisor to join our team and work on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland history.  As the Commercial Advisor you will provide commercial management, contracts administration and oversight for commercial activities within the allocated projects.   Role:  Administration of upstream and downstream contracts including but not limited to:  * Prepare and/or administer contractual deliverables  * Analysis of contractual provisions and preparation of contract notices and variations for internal review  * Prepare and/or administer the Rights and Obligations table  * Maintenance of commercial registers  * Providing summaries, reports and updates to the Leadership and Executive Leadership Team as required  * Performance & delivery of scope of works  * Management of delay impacts  * Maximise revenue recovery under contracts  * Inputs into regular progress claims, forecasting, financial and project reporting (including weekly and monthly reporting on risks and issues)  * Assessing impact of events, including pricing variations and quantifying EOTs; and  * Understand and comply with project Contract Manuals, and champion change management processes and tools within, including contract variation claims, extensions of time and design change impacts  Skills & Qualifications:  * Tertiary qualification in a related field (Law or Business Management highly desirable)  * 5+ years managing the delivery of State contracts, either client side or contractor side, with a focus on commercial/contractual management  * Demonstrated project experience directly related to the role across hard dollar and collaborative contract frameworks  * Experience working in the Construction or Rail industry is preferable, but not essential; and  * Preferably has additional contracts, commercial or legal training.     What We Offer:  *   Career progression and development opportunities  *   A workplace focused on Zero Harm; safety is at the core of everything we do  *   Flexible working arrangements to encourage work/life balance  *   Competitive remuneration    For more information, reach out to Sarah at sarah.clark@downergroup.com Downer does not accept any unsolicited resume referrals from Recruitment Agencies.   Notwithstanding the location of this position, all qualified Australian citizens and permanent residents from all locations are encouraged to apply.  Downer Group is an employer that acknowledges and embraces the importance of our people’s diverse experiences, talents, and cultures.
