POSITION SUMMARY The Cook I supports daily food production by preparing high-quality menu items in accordance with standardized recipes, production schedules, and food safety requirements. This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, early-morning aviation catering environment. Reports To: Chef / Sous Chef / Executive Chef Schedule: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM Flexibility required based on business needs, flight schedules, and peak seasons Airline catering operates in a 24/7 environment; weekends and holidays may be required ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and production plans Execute batch cooking using proper tools and measurements (scales, scoops, etc.) Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout the shift and at close Accurately complete food safety and quality (FSQ) logs in real time Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations Monitor waste and assist with waste log tracking for quality and cost control Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns to leadership Collaborate with Prep Cooks, Helpers, and culinary team members to meet production needs ABBY'S CATERING At Abby’s Catering, our mission is to be the leading in-flight and corporate catering company serving the Houston and Dallas metro markets by using locally sourced and sustainable ingredients, delivering memorable and personalized attention to detail, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and complying with the highest food safety standards.
