While ASDA Logistics Services (ALS) is serving stores, ASDA Primary Logistics is focussed on delivering excellent service, at the lowest cost to some of the largest suppliers across the UK and Continent.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join the Primary Logistics team! This role represents a fantastic opportunity to drive commercial success by managing the consolidation operation and a diverse range of logistic services. This role is key to achieving our ambitious business targets, ensuring we deliver exceptional value, while enhancing performance. You will build and maintain strong supplier and third party haulier relationships, jointly execute the commercial strategy, and engage colleagues across the business.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Part of a team leading on business development and account management
• Drive decisions through data and systems
• Ownership of internal systems to optimize the agile network
• Create new optimization initiatives, launch new pilots and quickly scale up what works
• Communicate with stakeholders in the business including Logistics, Supply, Trading and more

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE:

• A background in Supply Chain or Logistics preferable
• You move to action fast and pragmatic approach
• You will relish the opportunity to solve for more than one thing at a time; and bring experts from the organization together to make it happen
• You are engaging, persuade and collaborate across various functions
