Description

We are a progressive and expanding Law firm and are seeking an experienced legal secretary to join our busy Commercial/Company Department to work with a senior partner. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a legal environment and will be confident, some knowledge of Commercial and Property laws, Leases, Land Registry, dealing with lenders for commercial lending, SDLT submission to the HMRC, dealing with charge and debenture to the Companies House etc.

The role includes:

  • Seeing clients to take instructions and assistance to the solicitors/fee earners;
  • To see cases through from inception to conclusion in accordance with best conveyancing practices;
  • Typing dictations from the solicitors/fee earners;
  • To check titles, searches and conduct client meetings;
  • To cultivate and maintain relationships with introducers and referrers;
  • To deal with checking of mortgage offers and reporting to clients;
  • To comply with the requirements of the lender where there is a mortgage;
  • To assist solicitors to deal with their day to day activities;
  • To prepare completion statements and invoices;

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £20,000.00 per year
