THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic Commercial Assistant to join our team to support our Commercial activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your knowledge in a practical, fast-paced manufacturing setting while gaining experience across sales administration and logistics activities of a national and global reach.

WHAT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?

You will have:

  • Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Computer literate in a work environment
  • Health & safety awareness and quality control experience
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Methodical approach with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Team player with strong work ethic

Preferred:

  • Drivers licence
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts
  • Knowledge of stock control

Qualifications:

  • Good standard of general education with minimum standard grade, or equivalent, passes in English and Maths.

Responsibilities
  • Inputting and processing orders, PO’s and invoicing via the Company system.
  • Organising both internal & external documentation associated with orders including export paperwork, commercial invoicing, packing lists and certificates of origin.
  • Stock control to maintain right levels of stock for future orders.
  • Arranging logistics and transport for deliveries both UK and Export
  • Obtaining and agreeing prices for transport and other methods of dispatch
  • Organising samples for customers and arranging shipping and dispatch.
  • Ensure customer quotations for products via email and phone are responded to.
  • Co-ordinating customer enquiries within the company in order to provide a solution for the customer.
  • Supporting office administration by answering external calls in a timely manner
