JOB SUMMARY
Roth IAMS is seeking an experienced Commercial Building Inspector with an architectural/structural background to independently conduct on-site assessments of building systems. This role involves inspecting roofs, envelopes, structural and architectural components, as well as mechanical, electrical, and site infrastructure systems. The inspector will utilize proprietary software for data collection and reporting, review construction drawings, and prepare detailed reports that include findings, recommendations, and budget estimates. High-quality technical writing, time and cost management, and effective client communication are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may include supporting energy and ADA audits, facility usage reviews, and inventory management of building systems. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about delivering accurate, insightful assessments while contributing to the long-term capital planning and asset management goals of clients across sectors such as education, healthcare, and government.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to collect data effectively and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying potential issues during inspections.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders including contractors and project managers.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout the inspection process.
