Position Description: This person will assist the Company’s growth through the procurement of commercial and industrial clients. Essential Job Duties: · Prospect and contact potential clients via the telephone or in person and schedule sales appointments. · Accurately identify pests and form decisions based on this to find the most effective pest management programs and methods · Establish pest management programs to meet client needs · Create outlines and personalized sales proposals · Work directly with the Operations Team in the development of pricing and proposals. · Submit proposals to prospective clients · Oversee implementation of new service programs with the assistance of other Plunkett’s team members · Follow-up with new clients to ensure satisfaction · Attend all training meetings including; Initial, Sales, Technical, and state/regional programs as required by the Director of Sales. · Cooperate with Company management by performing other duties as assigned To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. Requirements Minimum Requirements: · Four Year Degree or equivalent outside sales experience · Ability to work both independently and as a team member · Must be self-driven, results oriented and motived while possessing good relationship building skills · Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills · Possess intelligent and professionalism to have the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, including plant management, chemists, and microbiologists · Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, with extreme organizational skills, commitment to quality and attention to detail. · Ability to stay on task with projects that start and stop over time. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word and Excel · Capable of working effectively under the pressure of deadlines; punctual. · Basic math aptitude · Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Preferred Requirements: · Previous experience in outside sales · Working knowledge of food plants or the food industry · B2B Sales experience in service industry Physical Demands and Work Environment · Communicates through telephone conversations, face-to-face interactions, texts and email · The ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs · Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching · Read printed materials and a computer screen · Stamina needed to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions · Must possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment including a computer, keyboard, and telephone. · Travel by car required.
